I have been researching the Valentine Gallery and Valentine Dudensing since 1995 and my book, The Valentine Gallery: The Forgotten Story of Valentine Dudensing, Matisse, Picasso, and the US Market for Modern Art (1926–1947) will be published in 2026 by Bloomsbury as part of its series on “Contextualizing Art Markets.”
